On July 24, 2024, the Biden-Harris Administration hosted the inaugural White House Summit on Environmental Justice in Action. 

The Summit showcased President Biden and Vice President Harris’ strides in advancing environmental justice, celebrated local initiatives for healthier communities, and spurred further efforts to build amore equitable and just future.

"I have seen more action in the past three years by the Biden-Harris Administration than I have in the past 30 years in advancing environmental justice," said Dr. Beverly Wright during her poignant remarks at the Summit. 

In addition to unprecedented resources for EJ communities through the Bipartisan Infrastructure and Inflation Reduction Act, the Administration's commitment to providing technical assistance to CBOs, many of whom may be applying for their first federal grant, is truly transformational for our overburdened communities.
