Sasidhar Parasa
Sasidhar Parasa is a Graduate Research Assistant on Fellowship with the Bullard Center, providing technical assistance. Being detail-oriented, Sid provides the necessary inputs to the Center on a range of services, including training, research, policy, practice, etc.
Sasidhar has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering and has served the State of Telangana, India, in various capacities in the Department of Roads & Buildings. Where he led construction programs and managed large-scale, time-bound projects including a prestigious, fast-track, award-winning state capitol Secretariat building. He also worked at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), assisting the designs office in PS&E works. Sasidhar likes to describe himself as someone who excels at overseeing cross-group teams and spearheading optimization initiatives that result in positive changes.
Sasidhar holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India). He further developed his academic acumen by earning two master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from Karnataka University, an MBA in Operations Research from GITAM University, and a Professional Diploma in Public Procurement from World Bank Group. Presently, he is pursuing his dissertation for his PhD in Urban Planning & Environmental Policy at Texas University, Houston.
Sid likes to dwindle in the mystic world of pragmatic life and joyful living. Apart from enjoying his quality time with the family, he likes photography, stargazing, and traveling.
