Graduate Research Assistant Ed Pettitt has been selected as one of the Community Leaders for the Leading with Equity in Adaptation Practice (LEAP) Program by Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC), in partnership with the American Society for Adaptation Professionals (ASAP).
As a community leader, he will work with other community leaders and climate adaptation practitioners to identify and implement climate change solutions in the region. The LEAP Program will begin with a one-day kickoff meeting the week of June 19, 2023, and he'll be expected to engage in an average of 2 hours/month in LEAP meetings between July 2023-Fall 2024.
Ed will also spend time implementing his community climate project, which will include urban heat island mitigation and/or energy resiliency.
