The American Geographical Society Awards 2023 John E. Gould Medal to Dr. Robert Bullard

The medal was presented in New York City at the AGS Fall Symposium on November 17, 2023. Dr. Bullard, known as the 'father of environmental justice,' has authored 18 books and received accolades, including the UN's Champions of the Earth Lifetime Achievement Award. The AGS, founded in 1851, is a pioneer in geographical research and education, dedicated to advancing geographic thinking for the benefit of society.
